Howdy, y’all! As most of you probably already guessed from that, I am indeed a Texan. I’m also a Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2008. WHOOP!! The hubby and I moved back to Texas in December 2013 after living in Colorado for almost three years. We have three dogs, a miniature dachshund named Wesson, a bloodhound named Gunn, and a dachshund/min pin mix (we think) named Colt. (See the theme there?) They are my children and I spoil them as such.
Shortly after moving back to Texas, I started running my in-laws’ wedding venue and it is a blast! My free time is usually devoted to crafting, hiking, shopping, reading, and I guess I can add running to the list now.
I love photography, and am currently learning to use our new Nikon D5100. I love taking close up photos and nature photos. When I get the chance, I also love photographing sports. The hubs gets so frustrated with me when we go hiking because I am constantly stopping to take pictures (plus I’m just generally a slower hiker than him). I’m just one of those people who wants to take pictures of everything so that I don’t forget how beautiful it was. Or take random pictures of the pretty flowers. 🙂
I originally started this blog with no general direction of where it was supposed to go or what it was going to be. Well, now it’s turned into a cooking/baking/crafting/running blog. Many of my friends think I’m crazy for having gone to law school rather than become a kindergarten teacher or open a bakery. Lucky for them, my hubby and I don’t eat a ton of sweets so they reap the benefits when I bake. Opening a bakery is definitely on my wish list of the things to do if the hubby and I ever win the lottery and can afford to do so. Until then, I blog about it and let my friends and Jeff’s co-workers enjoy my treats.
Who knows where this blog will end up going but I hope y’all enjoy the ride!
